You may think that Canada is a really tough place to grow grapes. You may even be surprised that they grow grapes in Prince Edward Island. I will be honest, it does have it does have its challenges. However, over time we are finding the best micro climates across the country and are starting to produce some high quality wines. Newman Estate Winery is located in Prince Edward Island, Canada and is located at:
46.0020° N, 62.5199° W However, given how far North we are, Newman Estate Winery is a long way away from the furthest North Winery. That honor goes to the country of Norway where the Lerkekåsa Vineyard is located at: 59.4000° N; 09.1900° E That’s a full 1489 km (925 miles) North of our winery! Given the experimentation of winemakers, I would be surprised if we see a winery even further North in the upcoming years. Comments are closed.
