Winner of the 2011 Eastern PEI Chamber of Commerce Business of the year, Newman Estate Winery is a family run winery located in beautiful Prince Edward Island, Canada. The winery was built with help from the community and endless hours of volunteer labour. We are forever grateful to those who have dedicated their time to making Newman Estate Winery what it is today.
Winemaker and President, Mike Newman was born in 1981 in Moncton New Brunswick. His mother’s side of the family is from Prince Edward Island and the family ties are the main reason for the winery starting on PEI. He has a Bachelor of Engineering Degree from the University of New Brunswick, a Master of Business Administration degree from Carleton University and a winemaker certificate from the University of California – Davis.
